A quick overview of the hardware supported by METEO P4 firmware, its main functions, package contents and installation requirements.
Supported device
METEO P4 only
The firmware is prepared for the METEO P4 device based on ESP32-P4. It is not intended for arbitrary ESP32, ESP32-S3, ESP32-C3 or other hardware without the matching METEO P4 configuration.
ESP32-P4
Installation uses a ready-made firmware BIN file and esptool from ESP-IDF 6.0.1.
Display and controls
The firmware is designed for the standard METEO P4 display and touchscreen controls.

Firmware file
A ready-made BIN file for installation on METEO P4.

CH341SER driver
Included for situations where the device uses CH340/CH341 and Windows does not create a COM port automatically.
What you need for installation
Computer
A Windows computer with access to the Start menu to open ESP-IDF 6.0.1 PowerShell.
USB data cable
A charging-only cable will not work. The device must appear under “Ports (COM & LPT)” in Windows Device Manager.
ESP-IDF 6.0.1
Required to run python -m esptool and safely write the ready-made firmware BIN file.
chip-id detects ESP32-P4. Only then should you run erase-flash.
